With the busy holidays approaching I thought it’d be a great time to share one of my favorite tea latte recipes with you! I’m sure you’ve all read and heard of the healing properties of turmeric and ginger (anti inflammatory, reduces muscle and joint soreness, lower blood sugar, lower cholesterol levels, improves brain function, help protect against Alzheimer’s, cancer fighting properties, helps fight infections, and the list goes on and on) so this is a great and super easy way to incorporate these two ingredients in your day to day life (making sure all the holiday eats don’t get the best of you.)
INGREDIENTS :
1 1/2 cup fresh milk alternative (coconut and cashew are best!)
1-inch knob of freshly peeled ginger
1-inch knob of freshly peeled turmeric
1 date
Finely ground black pepper
INSTRUCTIONS:
Combine all the ingredients except the black pepper in a blender. Blend until very smooth and there’s absolutely no chunks left. When done, transfer to a pot on low-medium heat until it’s steamed. (You can also use a steamer from a coffee machine or espresso machine attachment). Pour into a mug and top with fresh pepper to taste (I love the added spice so I do 5 grinds).
