Our absolute favorite chocolate chip recipe! We’ve been using it for years and it’s such a tradition in our home. Since we became vegan a couple years ago we were able to successfully alter it (which I’ve included below) as well!
Ingredients :
2 1/4c all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1c butter (softened) (V 1.5c Earth Balance )
3/4c packed brown sugar
1/4c white sugar
1 pack instant vanilla pudding
2 eggs (V egg replacement- follow individual instructions)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Directions :
- Preheat oven to 350 F (175C)
- Sift together Flour and Baking Soda (set aside)
- Cream together Butter, Brown Sugar, White Sugar.
- Beat in Instant Pudding
- Stir in Eggs and Vanilla
- Blend in the Flour mixture
- Stir in Chocolate Chips
- Bake 10-12 Minutes (should still be soft when you take it out, it will harden a bit in the cool air)
You can also make different batches! We always do chocolate chips, another with cranberries with walnuts, another with lemon zest, plain sugar, etc! We always try different add one and it always turns out delicious)
